05001 stabled at Sandown (GB) class 05 No D2607 performs a shunt at Steetley colliery in the early 80`s. Classic use of an ex BR shunter. Dinnington No2 exD2327 performs a shunt with an internal user at Dinnington sidings on 12-10-74. The loco being cut in december 1983 by Coopers Metals at Sheffield. D2248 poses in front of the offices at Maltby Colliery on 12-10-74. April 1987 was when this Drewry shunter was dismantled, by Carol Good scrap merchants of Rotherham. No1 ex D2274 rests at Maltby on 12-03-73. September 1980 saw the end of this machine, being cut up on site. D2958 sits next to a pile of scrap in CF BOOTHS scrapyard on 12-10-74. This loco performed shunting duties here for a number of years before being dismantled in october 1984. D2236 + D2213 sit out of service at Maltby colliery on 12-10-74. February 1978 saw these venerable machines finally disposed of. Another view of Dinnington No2 exD2327 performs a shunt with an internal user at Dinnington sidings on 12-10-74. The loco being cut in december 1983 by Coopers Metals at Sheffield. NCB Carol ex D2238 sits at Manvers Main Colliery on 12-10-74. I wonder who thought yellow was a good livery for a colliery pilot? This loco survived until november 1982, before being disposed of on site at Manvers. an unidentified Drewry does the colliery shunt at Steetley in the early 80`s.

(GB) Merchant Navy class 4-6-2, 35005 ex Canadian Pacific 05-04-70, this loco left the yard in march 1973 for preservation. (GB) GWR 2-6-2 tank 4144, 19-07-70. April 1974 was when this loco headed for pastures new. (GB) Standard 4, 2-6-4T 80079 sits on the blocks in Barry yard on 19-07-70. The loco left less than a year later in may 1971.
